Fitness For Life Ahead, Anyone?

AMRAP 20minutes:

40 Double-Unders

20 Sit-ups

10 Burpees

 

Every 4th minute, one must plate walk overhead 100ft. (Starting on "GO")

 

 

Why are we so focused on 'Fitness For Life Ahead' at CrissFit Loco Ocho? Because 100 people die every year shoveling snow. 

 

One doc quoted in THIS article actually recommends that folks over 55 not shovel snow due to the heart attack risk.  

 

Well, how about this idea? Let's just become more fit so we don't die shoveling snow. Ok ok... There really isn't any snow to shovel in Sacramento, but the lesson is the same.  Our programming leads to fitter folks.  Fitter folks can handle life's challenges much better.
